Curtis Dancy of Smiths Falls tied for lead at Quebec amateur golf championship

Smiths Falls golfer Curtis Dancy is tied for the clubhouse lead in the rain-delayed second round of the Quebec amateur championship in Ile Bizard.

Dancy and Hugo Bernard of Mont St-Hilaire are both at 2-over. About half the golfers will complete the second of four rounds Thursday.

SOLID START

Brooke Henderson is in the hunt for a match-play spot at the Women's North & South amateur championship at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina.

The 15-year-old Smiths Falls golfer is tied for eighth at even par after two rounds, easily making the 60-player cut for the third and final round of stroke play Thursday. The top 16 players after Thursday's play go on to match play.

Henderson, now 15th in the world amateur golf rankings, is five shots back of leader Annie Park of Levittown, N.Y.
