Most of these scams involve identity theft whether they are cold call emails that ask you want you to click on a link that takes you to another website to get your personal information or a work from home ruse which is nothing more than a way gain access to your personal information. You should enter the company?s name into the browser and visit the company?s website. If the company asks for personal information such as your social security number, leave the website immediately.

Most companies spend a lot of money and time on research and development to give them an edge over their competition and to make your job search a success. You need to do the same thing.

You don?t need to spend an extensive amount of time or millions of dollars to determine what type of industry the company is in or the names of the senior executives.
